Cornell's newest New York City location opened in Spring 2006. Occupying a second-floor space in downtown Manhattan, the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning provides bright expansive studio space for undergraduate and graduate students. A natural second home for architecture, art, and city and regional planning, New York City will provide the backdrop for academic and career exploration.

The college will engage New York City artists, urban theorists, architects, and other practitioners to meet with students and faculty in the new facility. The location will also provide an ideal base for the study of urban policy, for museum and gallery visits, or for exposure to a wealth of architectural history and practice.

Providing a home for the Cornell Urban Scholars Program (CUSP) as well as an intensive program that will emulate the Rome Program, AAP's new office is a long-awaited welcome addition to Cornell in New York City.
